A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

'Loaded' was one of the best PlayStation 1 releases with its fast action gun play, soundtrack, and effects. This game is a simple 2D clone of the original that gives the player a level to run around in blasting enemies away to a heavy metal soundtrack, the more blasting, the more points! 

The game has keys to find to unlock doors so you can eventually find the boss who you have to defeat to move on to the next level where the enemies all get slightly stronger. Keep going for as long as you can to get the top place on the leader board!

Along the way you'll collect double speed bonuses for extra mayhem, invincibility, extra health and ammo and if your lucky a power-up to kill the boss in a single shot.

Simple but effective, this game will bring a satisfying carnage to your day. Enjoy!

Install instructions

This game was built on the LOVE2D game engine which is packaged with the executables, both the Linux and Windows packages should run 'out of the box'. 

Linux 

  • Make the .AppImage binary executable after downloading.
  • chmod +x L0AD3D-2D.AppImage
  • Run with ./L0AD3D-2D.AppImage

WIndows

  • Extract the .zip archive
  • Launch the executable making sure to keep the .exe and LOVE library files in the same location

Troubleshooting:

If you have an issue loading the high scores screen it may be due to the location of the high scores file 'l0ad3d.lst'

Check the filesystem path for your OS (MacOS not supported) and remove the high scores file then run the executable again
